Police arrest Hindu Mahasabha leader who shot Bapu's effigy

The UP police on Tuesday night arrested the woman leader of Hindu Mahasabha, Pooja Shakun Pandey, from Noida in a case relating to the firing at an effigy of Mahatma Gandhi with an air pistol on his 71st death anniversary. In the case, Uttar Pradesh police had registered FIR against 13 persons associated with Hindu Mahasabha including Pooja Shakun Pandey. The seven suspects were arrested earlier. The FIR was lodged in this connection under sections 147, 148 and 149 of the IPC.
