A day after Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in a statement revealed that Pakistan had an involvement in 26/11 attacks in Mumbai that killed 164 people and wounded 308; a panic situation has been created in the country.
Now, the Pakistani government has gone in a huddle over Sharif’s statement, which has tarnished Pakistan’s image further and has raised several questions. The Army has also called a high level meeting of National Security Council on Monday.
On the other hand, The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party has issued a statement dismissing all claims with regard to former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's remarks on 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, stating it has been 'grossly misinterpreted' by the Indian media.
The statement shared by Nawaz Sharif's daughter, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, on Twitter read, "PML-N would like to set the record straight on the interview of PML-N Quaid carried yesterday by DAWN. At the outset, statement of the Quaid has been grossly misinterpreted by the Indian media."
