ABP News Bureau   |  10 Sep 2025 10:49 AM (IST)

In a disturbing turn of events in Nepal’s Katahwa region, protesters have set fire to the homes of several former politicians. The residence of former MP Hridayash Tripathi was torched late at night. Alongside him, the houses of former MLA Shantu Jaiswal and other lawmakers were also attacked and burned by demonstrators. This incident follows similar violent acts where the homes of Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the President, the Home Minister, and a former Prime Minister were also set ablaze by protesters. The unrest highlights the growing political tensions in the country, leading to alarming acts of violence targeting key political figures. Authorities are investigating the incidents as the situation remains volatile.
