View In AppWest Bengal Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay was asked to report to New Delhi as his services were sought there, a move termed by the ruling Trinamool Congress as "forced deputation". This decision came in barely four days after he was granted an extension. According to the letter, he will have to report to the department in Delhi by 31 May. The Center has taken this step at a time when a dispute arose over the meeting of PM Modi and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday.
