The Bangladesh Liberation War was fought in 1971 from March- December. The motive behind the war for the then East Pakistan was liberation, however it is speculated that there was an alternate motive as well behind the war. Bangladesh has always been a good friend of India, however the relationship between India and Pakistan has been sour.
