BJPs Rahul Narvekar has been elected as the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly in Maharashtra. The elections took place with the voting system, where Rahul Narvekar won by a majority of 164 votes. He was standing against MVAs Rajan Salvi, who procured 80 votes. This is considered to be a pass for the Shinde government's first test.
