Supreme Court takes Suo Moto Cognizance of Covid situation; issues notice to Centre over Oxygen supply & Lockdown

The Supreme Court has sent a notice to the Central Government taking Suo Moto cognizance over the current situation of Corona in India. The Supreme Court seeks national policy on issues related to oxygen, supply of essential medicines and methods of vaccination. The Supreme Court has appointed senior advocate Harish Salve as amicus curiae to help him in the case.
