Monsoon Updates: Amit Shah speaks to CM's of Assam, UP, Gujarat on flood-like situation | ABP News

In view of the flood situation in UP, Assam and Gujarat, the Union Home Ministry has become active. On Monday (July 15, 2024), Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel over the phone regarding the situation.

During the talk, Amit Shah assured the Chief Ministers of all three states of all kinds of help from the central government. In fact, many parts of UP, Assam and Gujarat have been flooded due to continuous rains.

More than 750 villages have been affected by floods due to the overflowing of rivers in Uttar Pradesh. The relief department of UP recently said that the water level in many rivers has increased due to rain and in view of this, more than 3 lakh people have been shifted to safer places.
