Why did Bihar bride ditch car and travel via rickshaw to reach in-laws' home?

Post a wedding, the bride and groom were forced to travel via rickshaw instead of the car which was decked-up for them. The reason was water-logging post rain. The car broke down and the couple had to travel via rickshaw to reach their home. Something similar is happening in Uttar Pradesh as well.
