Suvendu Adhikari, who recently joined BJP after leaving the ruling Trinamool Congress of West Bengal, can be appointed as the chairman of Jute Corporation of India. Prior to joining the BJP, he has been a minister for a long time in the West Bengal government. Jute Corporation of India has played an important role in jute production in 17 districts of Bengal.
