India is now the fifth worst-hit country by the Covid-19 pandemic. With the daily spike in the number of coronavirus cases, India's tally has been pushed to nearly 2.86 lakh cases. 

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) on the occasion of its 95th annual plenary session, said that the while the world is battling the pandemic, India has to convert this crisis into a turning point for the country's growth.
