A video of clashes has surfaced from the Rania police station area in Kanpur Dehat. In the video, a person can be seen firing a licensed gun from a rooftop during the dispute, while people below are throwing stones at the gunman. More than a dozen people were seriously injured in the firing and stone-pelting over a minor dispute. One person was shot in the leg. The clash lasted for several hours, and police personnel who arrived at the scene also faced danger but managed to escape unharmed.

The argument between the two parties started over a minor issue related to eating Panipuri. When one party reported the incident to the police, a case was registered and action was taken.
