In the Kannauj rape case, the police confirmed on Tuesday that the medical examination of the victim indicated she was indeed raped. This case, involving a man allegedly connected to the SP, has sparked a political controversy, with the BJP accusing the SP of protecting the accused. Kannauj Superintendent of Police, Amit Kumar Anand, stated that the victim confirmed the incident during her statement to the magistrate, leading to additional charges being filed against Nawab Singh Yadav under Section 64 (rape) of the BNS.
