UP Elections 2022: PM Modi alleges, 'SP didn't let me work for people as Varanasi MP'

"I was disappointed that these 'parivarvadis' did not help me from 2014 to 2017. I am a Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh, but they (the previous government) refused to let me work for the people of the state until 2017. Will they let me work for you if you bring them back? Should people like these be re-elected?", said Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh.
