View In AppVoting in the sixth round of Uttar Pradesh Assembly election began on Thursday as polling moves to the Purvanchal region of the state.
In the sixth phase, 57 seats are up for grabs, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Congress' Ajay Kumar Lallu and Samajwadi Party's Swami Prasad Maurya in the fray.
A five-time Member of Parliament, Yogi Adityanath will contest an assembly election for the first time. In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh elections, the CM entered the House through the Legislative Council.
The districts where polling is to be held on Thursday are Ambedkarnagar, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria and Ballia.
