The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted more heavy rain today, prompting the Delhi government to close all schools. Tragically, a 22-year-old woman and her child drowned in a water-filled drain, and two people were injured in separate incidents. Tanuja and her three-year-old son Priyansh were at the weekly market in Khoda Colony, Ghazipur. According to a police officer, around 8 PM, they slipped and fell into a water-filled under-construction drain. They were retrieved with the help of divers and a crane and taken to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
