View In AppHeavy rains in Delhi on Wednesday evening led to chaos across the city. Large parts of the city were submerged, and a 22-year-old woman and her child drowned in Ghazipur. Major areas experienced traffic jams, and streets resembled rivers, trapping people in various locations. Old Rajinder Nagar witnessed severe waterlogging once again. Due to the torrential rains, the Meteorological Department included Delhi in the list of ‘areas of concern’ in the National Flood Guidelines Bulletin. The department advised people to stay indoors, secure windows and doors, and avoid unnecessary travel. In light of the rains, the Meteorological Department issued a red warning for Delhi. Residents are advised to stay at home, keep doors and windows closed, and refrain from traveling unless necessary.
