Russia Ukraine War Day 6: India student from Karnataka Naveen SG shot dead in Kharkiv

An Indian student on Tuesday was killed in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, said the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) quoted by news agency ANI. The deceased Indian student has been identified as Naveen SG of Haveri district, Karnataka. In Ukraine, he was living in Arkhitektora Beketova. He was studying medicine at Kharkiv National Medical University. In another tweet, Bagchi said the Foreign Secretary is calling on the Ambassadors of Russia and Ukraine to urgently seek safe passage for Indian nationals. It has asked to make arrangements for the safe evacuation of its students and Indian citizens present in Kharkiv and other areas of conflict. Similar action is being taken by our ambassadors in Russia and Ukraine, he added.
