Risk of landslide intensifies in Uttarakhand due to excessive rains

Due to excessive rainfall, risk of landslides has increased in the Himachal and Uttarakhand. Swollen rivers are adding to the already existing threat. Damage to public property was also reported from several villages of the district.Seeing the havoc, the Indian Army was called out to assist in rescue operations at several locations.
