The conviction is so strong that the Varanasi police station commander himself does not sit in his principal chair. It is only Bhauravanath who occupies the primary chair. His photograph is devotedly kept on the chair. Another name for him is Kaal Bhaurav. The priests even dress Bhairavnath in a police uniform on certain occasions, complete with a P-cap and three stars.
