Pfizer applies for emergency authorisaton of its vaccine in India

The Indian unit of drug maker Pfizer has applied to the Controller General of Drugs of India (DCGI) for formal approval for emergency use of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by it. Pfizer made this request after its Covid-19 vaccine was approved in the UK and Bahrain.

Britain is the first country in the world that has approved the use of vaccine developed by Pfizer. After Britain, Bahrain also gave its nod to Pfizer for the emergency use of its vaccine
