NMCG writes letter to ICMR seeking research on Ganga's water for corona treatment

National Clean Ganga Mission has written a letter to ICMR, the largest institution of medical research in the country. In this letter, the ICMR has been requested to conduct scientific research on the properties of the Ganga river. NMCG wants to find out whether its water has the ability to cure & treat viruses like Covid-19, whether such elements are present in the upper or mountainous parts of the river.
