Nirbhaya case convict tries to injure himself inside Tihar jail

Tihar jail official informed that one of the death row convicts of 2012 Delhi gang-rape case, Vinay had attempted to hurt himself by banging his head against a wall in his cell, on 16th February. He had received minor injuries. 

A Delhi court on Monday ordered that the four death row convicts in the Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder case be hanged "by the neck until they are dead" on March 3 at 6 a.m. after observing that deferring the execution any further would be sacrilegious to the victim's rights.
