Gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari was laid to rest today at his ancestral Kali Bagh graveyard in Mohammadabad, located in the Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh. Thousands of people gathered to participate in his last rites and joined his funeral procession in Ghazipur. Mukhtar Ansari passed away on Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest.
