In Morena district of Madhya Pradesh, spurious liquor claimed 20 lives. Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has removed the collector Anurag Verma and Superintendent of Police Anurag Sojatiya who had failed to perform their duties.
Post this incident, two of the accused have been arrested and the police are still seraching for the other five.
