Mumbai North West Lok Sabha constituency of Maharashtra comprises six assembly segments. Sitting MP and Shiv Sena leader Gajanan Kirtikar has held the seat since 2014. For the upcoming elections, the veteran leader, who is part of the Shinde faction, opted out of the election as his son and Shiv Sena UBT leader Amol Kirtikar has been named as the Maha Vikas Aghadi candidate. The Shinde faction has named MLA Ravindra Waikar as the Mahayuti candidate from the seat. Ravindra Waikar had joined the Shinde faction in March and had alleged pressure from the Enforcement Directorate. Both candidates have been under the scrutiny of the Enforcement Directorate in recent months. Mahayuti candidate Ravindra Waikar is confident of victory as he seeks votes based on the achievements of Narendra Modi.
