View In AppKewal Panchayat of Budhal in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri got its first-ever drinking water tap under the Jal Jeevan Mission by the central government. People in the far-flung areas used to face problems in getting water supplies. Works under Jal Jeevan Mission are going on in different areas of the Kotranka subdivision of Rajouri under 73 schemes. Developmental works like laying pipes and filtration Plant installment are going on in different areas of Rajouri. Speaking to ANI, a local said, “I want to thank the government and the scheme because of which we have got water after 70 years. Our children couldn’t go to school as they had to clean the drains, our utensils used to get dirty even. Jal Jeevan scheme is a really good scheme. I thank Prime Minister Modi.” Another local said, “Through JJM people have got water after so many years. Our children didn’t use to get clear uniforms to wear. Drinking water was very hard to get. I want to thank the BJP government for the scheme.”
