View In AppUnion Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that due to political rivalry, the Delhi government has failed to benefit the farmers. He highlighted that farmers in Delhi have faced numerous issues, including the registration of tractors under commercial rates for agricultural use. Delhi farmers also bear the highest electricity charges compared to others. He pointed out that farmers along the banks of the Yamuna River had their power supply cut off. Furthermore, Chouhan accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi of denying Delhi farmers the benefits of the crop insurance scheme, despite its availability in other parts of the country. He emphasized that the Delhi government has not done enough to support the agricultural community, especially in the current economic climate.
