Joshimath Glacier Collapse: 2 dead, 291 rescued

A glacier in Niti valley, near Joshimath on India-China border collapsed after heavy snowfall in the region. As per the Indian Army 291 locals were successfully rescued. The northern hills of India have been experiencing heavy snowfall for a few days. 

In February, a glacier burst killed nearly 80 people in Chamoli while many went missing.
