Jaswant Singh Rawat, the Indian Army soldier who held China's advances in 1962 war

Jaswint Singh Rawat was a rifleman in Delta company of Garhwal rifles. During the 1962 war, he was posted in Arunachal Pradesh. When the Chinese Army started its attack on 17 November, Jaswant Singh, along with other soldiers, held the line till the backup had arrived and forced the Chinese to retreat. It is said that before being martyred, Jaswant and his fellow soldiers killed 300 Chinese army personnel.
