This environmentally friendly approach focuses on eliminating mosquito larvae, the primary source of dengue transmission. The decision followed a significant surge in dengue cases in 2023, with Tikri Block identified as a hotspot. The health department is also intensifying awareness campaigns to educate the public about dengue prevention. Chief Medical Officer Udhampur, Dr. Anil Manhas, assured residents of the department’s dedication to combating the disease and emphasized ongoing efforts to mitigate the impact of dengue.
