Bulldozers and 14 civic teams arrived in Jahangirpuri, Delhi, around 9.30 a.m. today, in the region where communal confrontations erupted on Saturday during a Hanuman Jayanti procession.
Background:
On Saturday, April 16, violence erupted during a Hanuman Jayanti parade in Delhi's Jahangirpuri neighbourhood, injuring a number of police officers. The investigation has been assigned to the Crime Branch, which has formed 14 teams to probe the situation from all sides. Following Union Home Minister Amit Shah's call for tough action, NSA has been slapped on 5 accused persons so far.
