Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, he addressed the people, extending his heartfelt congratulations to the residents of Uttar Pradesh. He paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and expressed gratitude to the great sons and daughters of India who contributed to the struggle for independence and elevated the nation to new heights. CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized that today marks the 77th anniversary of India’s independence, achieved after a long struggle. He paid a tribute to the memory of the revolutionaries who sacrificed everything for the country’s freedom. He specifically honored figures like Baba Saheb Ambedkar, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Subhas Chandra Bose, and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, acknowledging their immense contributions to the nation's liberation. The Chief Minister also noted that India has entered the third phase of Amrit Kaal (the nectar period), with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the country towards a vision of a new India. Over the past decade, India has experienced remarkable growth and transformation. Uttar Pradesh, with its 25 crore population, has embarked on a new journey of prosperity in the last seven years. He highlighted that from 2014 to 2024, India has advanced from being the 10th largest economy to becoming the 5th largest. Additionally, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a model of security during these years.
