Raj Thackeray had been threatened by the PFI after he took a strong stand on the matter. Following that, the national government may opt to provide Raj Thackeray with protection. The Popular Front of India (PFI) has taken an uncompromising stand against the noise on mosques after MNS president Raj Thackeray issued an ultimatum until May 3. He had warned MNS that he would not leave if he touched the loudspeaker.
