Hooda is considered a strong contender for the Chief Minister position. Sources indicated that the senior leader and former Chief Minister would stay at his residence in Delhi overnight. He may meet with the party leadership before returning to his home in Rohtak on Monday afternoon. A close associate of Hooda mentioned that he left his Rohtak residence for Delhi on Sunday evening. When asked about who would be appointed Chief Minister if Congress comes to power, Hooda reiterated on Saturday that there is a defined process within the party, where the opinions of party legislators would be considered before the high command makes a decision. In response to queries about Kumari Selja and Randeep Singh Surjewala also being potential candidates for the Chief Minister position, Hooda remarked that politics allows for anyone to have aspirations, but there is a set procedure for determining leadership. It is noteworthy that voting for the Haryana Assembly elections concluded on Saturday evening, with results set to be announced on Tuesday.
