On Monday, a court-ordered videography audit of Varanasi's Gyanvapi Masjid complex, which was carried out peacefully for the second day in a row on Sunday, will proceed for the third day. The majority of the survey, which had been postponed due to objections from the mosque management committee, was completed on the second day, according to officials. The committee stated that the court-appointed counsel commissioner for the survey did not have the authority to video within the premises. The mosque is next to the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple, and a group of women has petitioned the local court for permission to worship daily before the idols on the mosque's exterior walls.
