A major tourism draw in Gujarat is the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue. It attracted over 4.43 lakh tourists in April and May 2024, up from 3.44 lakh tourists last year. With ongoing enhancements, it’s an architectural wonder that seems too magnificent to be real. While the Statue of Unity dazzles with its modern marvel, the ancient Somnath Temple stands as a timeless beacon of spirituality and cultural heritage in Gujarat. This sacred site drew more than 9.24 lakh visitors in May 2024, a notable rise from April’s 5.64 lakh. The grandeur of Somnath leaves an indelible mark on both tourists and pilgrims long after they depart. Continuing our journey through Gujarat’s spiritual wonders, we first arrive at the Shaktipeeth Ambaji Temple, which welcomed over 18 lakh devotees this summer, drawn by its divine ambiance and historical significance. On the other side of Gujarat, the Dwarka Temple, revered as Lord Krishna’s residence, enchanted over 16 lakh visitors with its timeless charm, further enhancing Gujarat’s spiritual allure.
