Today's increase in the price of petrol and diesel was 80 paise per litre, bringing the total increase in rates in the prior nine days to 5.60 per litre. Petrol will now cost 101.01 per litre in Delhi, up from 100.21 before, while diesel will cost 92.27 per litre, up from 91.47 previously, according to a price notification released by state petroleum merchants. Petrol and diesel prices per litre in Mumbai increased by 84 and 85 paise, respectively, to 115.88 and 100.10. Rates have been raised across the country, with variations depending on the amount of municipal taxation in each state.
