For the first time ever, Sensex crosses the 42,000 mark

Sensex rose over 650 points, on the back of largely positive global cues. It has currently reached 42,543 and Nifty at 12,444. US election results 2020 has affected the Indian share market heavily. This is a festive week, and this gain holds immense importance. Sensex has never before crossed the 42,000 marks.
