On Saturday, ten ministers were sworn into the Punjab cabinet led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Eight of the ministers are first-time MLAs, and one of them is a woman. Meanwhile,  the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to propose Kultar Singh Sandhwan as Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Bhagwant Mann thanked the 10 party MLAs who would be sworn in as Ministers in a tweet on Friday evening. Five of the 10 legislators are from the Malwa region, four from Majha, and one from Doaba. Four of the MLAs sworn in as Ministers come from reserve constituencies including Dirba, Jandiala, Malout, and Bhoa.
