View In AppFarmers protesting at the Shambhu Border for 300 days have once again announced their march towards Delhi. Today at 12 noon, another group of 101 farmers will attempt to move towards Delhi. In light of this announcement, tight security measures have been implemented at the Shambhu Border. Authorities are fully prepared to stop the farmers at the border itself. Spiked-pattern barriers and roadbreakers are being installed, and cement girders have been placed to block the route. Barricading has also been done, with security forces keeping a close watch at every point. Considering the potential for unrest at the Shambhu Border, Haryana has written to Punjab, requesting media personnel to be kept at least 1 kilometer away from the protest site. As a precaution, the Haryana government has suspended mobile internet and SMS services in 11 villages of Ambala district until December 9.
