Indian Air Force is ready and all set to attack within just 8 minutes if the need arises. The alertness is just because India has learnt from its mistake in 1962. 

Before the war with China, the troops had pulled back from the Galwan Valley and the media widely reported about it. Soon after, the Chinese backstabbed and attacked India. Now India cannot commit the same mistake and hence the IAF is on its toes all the time.
