View In AppNews: Lok Sabha elections are over and now it is the turn of Rajya Sabha by-elections. By-elections have been announced by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat for 10 vacant seats. A notification has been issued in this regard stating that after the victory of the members in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, 10 seats in the Upper House have become vacant. After the Rajya Sabha by-elections, the BJP-led NDA is going to become stronger in the House, while the strength of the Congress is going to decrease. In the Rajya Sabha by-elections, all the seats are going to go to the BJP-NDA alliance. The reason for this is that in the states where by-elections are going to be held, there is currently a BJP-NDA government. Because of this, Congress will lose two Rajya Sabha seats. Two Rajya Sabha MPs of Congress, KC Venugopal and Deependra Hooda, have won the Lok Sabha elections. Venugopal is a Rajya Sabha MP from Rajasthan, while Hooda is a member of the upper house from Haryana. Currently BJP has majority in Haryana and Rajasthan.
