View In AppThe Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a 'yellow alert' for light to moderate rainfall across Delhi and the NCR today. According to their post on 'X', most areas in the region will experience light to moderate showers, with some locations seeing more intense spells over the next few hours. On Wednesday, cloudy skies prevailed, and several areas received light rain, bringing the minimum temperature to 23°C, three degrees below average, and the maximum to 32.6°C. Rainfall measuring 6mm was recorded by Wednesday morning, followed by an additional 2.4mm later in the day. These early showers caused traffic congestion in many areas during the morning rush hour, particularly in Vasant Vihar, Dwarka, INA, and the Outer Ring Road. The Central Pollution Control Board reported an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 71 for Delhi at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, which falls under the 'satisfactory' category. AQI between 51 and 100 is considered satisfactory, with higher ranges indicating worsening air quality. This rain has helped improve air quality, offering some relief from pollution in the capital.
