Delhi News: Red Fort blast linked to Faridabad module, ammonium nitrate found; six bodies identified

ABP News Bureau   |  11 Nov 2025 02:05 PM (IST)

Fresh revelations have emerged in the Red Fort blast case, with investigators now tracing links to a suspected Faridabad module. The explosion occurred near Delhi’s Lajpat Rai Market around 6:52 PM, causing panic and chaos in one of the city’s busiest areas. Officials have confirmed that the white Hyundai i20 used in the blast was connected to a Faridabad car dealer, and that 2,900 kg of ammonium nitrate—an industrial explosive—was recovered, suggesting its possible use in the attack. Sources indicate that the explosive may have been sourced through networks extending to Jammu and Kashmir. Delhi Police have registered a case under UAPA Sections 16 and 18 for terrorist activity and conspiracy, along with the Explosives Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). NSG and forensic teams are investigating the scene, collecting samples to identify the exact explosive used. Nine people lost their lives in the blast; postmortems have been completed, and six victims have been identified so far. With multiple state and national agencies on high alert, officials suspect this could be part of a larger terror conspiracy.
