Delhi: Fresh stone pelting incidents reported in Kabir Nagar

Fresh incidents of stone-pelting were reported in Delhi’s Kabir Nagar area near Maujpur metro station today morning, even as the death toll from Monday’s violence rose to seven today. Fresh violence broke out in parts of northeast Delhi with mobs pelting stones, vandalising shops and threatening locals on Tuesday, a day after seven people were killed in violent clashes over the amended citizenship law. Schools were shut with exams being postponed and fearful residents stayed indoors as the area smoldered with tension.
