Delhi Blast: Forensic Teams Probe Red Fort Explosion, 9 Dead And 20 Injured As UAPA Case Filed

ABP News Bureau   |  11 Nov 2025 11:05 AM (IST)

The Red Fort area in Delhi remains under high alert after a powerful blast near the Netaji Subhash Marg and Red Fort Metro Station Gate No. 1 left nine people dead and at least twenty injured, including several in critical condition. The explosion occurred around 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday evening, throwing one of Delhi’s busiest zones into chaos. Eyewitnesses described intense panic, screams, and thick smoke filling the air as vehicles caught fire. Early investigations reveal that the car involved in the explosion had been parked for nearly three hours in the Red Fort parking area. Forensic and NSG teams are on-site, combing through debris to determine whether explosives such as ammonium nitrate were used. CCTV footage is also being analyzed to track the vehicle’s movements and identify suspects. Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the site late Tuesday night and assured a multi-agency probe under UAPA Sections 16 and 18. NSG, NIA, and Delhi Police are jointly investigating the case, treating it as a possible terror attack. Meanwhile, LNJP Hospital has begun postmortems on the deceased, while treatment continues for the injured. The entire Red Fort zone remains sealed off as security agencies intensify their investigation.
