Crime Branch SIT raid Akali leader Bikram Majithia's Amritsar residence

Following the refusal of interim anticipatory bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court yesterday, a team of Punjab police from the crime branch raided the home of senior SAD leader and former cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Tuesday. For almost 50 minutes, the police team remained at the house on Green Avenue. The raid was carried out by a team of crime beach officers, according to police. Although police officers remained tight-lipped, a member of the team stated the raid was carried out after Majithia's anticipatory bail was dismissed.
