Discussions may include the election of the Congress Parliamentary Party leader in the Lok Sabha, who will also serve as the Leader of the Opposition. Sources indicate that Sonia Gandhi may be re-elected as the leader of the Congress Parliamentary Party, who will then appoint the new Leader of Opposition. While many Congress leaders support Rahul Gandhi for this role in the Lok Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge is likely to continue as the opposition leader in the Rajya Sabha.
