Cold Wave : Dense fog grips NCR amid orange alert; several trains, flights delayed

After snowfall in the hilly states of the country, bone-chilling cold continues in the plains. In the country's capital Delhi, in the first week of January itself, along with the record cold, the fog has increased the difficulties of the people. The winter season is in full swing in the states of North and Central India including UP, Punjab, Haryana. The Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert for cold wave and dense fog in Delhi. Today the minimum temperature in Delhi is 5 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature is 19 degree Celsius.
